About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our Data Science team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and implementation of advanced analytics solutions to improve patient outcomes and service quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical direction and project oversight to the Data Science team, ensuring clarity around priorities and goals.
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in data science, machine learning, and operations research techniques.
  • Design, develop, and deploy cloud-based advanced analytics solutions to improve service quality and patient outcomes.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure effective utilization of cloud resources and alignment with business objectives.
  • Support the development of annual strategic roadmaps and communicate our strategy with internal and external partners.
  • Collaborate with leadership to share success stories and increase operations research and data science literacy and adoption across the organization.
  • Actively contribute to research community through journal publications, participation at conferences, seminars, and workshops.
Requirements
  • PhD degree in a quantitative field such as operations research, data science, computer science, or a related engineering degree.
  • Seven years' experience developing advanced analytics solutions, preferably in the healthcare industry, including two years' leadership experience.
