Position Overview

The Steel Frame Construction Technician at Mona Corporation will be responsible for executing various tasks related to the assembly and installation of steel framing systems in diverse construction environments.

Educational Requirements
  • No formal degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
Work Environment
  • Work may involve heights.
  • Exposure to confined spaces.
  • Environment can be noisy and dusty.
Work Setting
  • Engagement in construction projects across various locations.
  • Involvement in both commercial and industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in accordance with building regulations using appropriate measuring instruments.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials including wood, lightweight steel, and other composites.
  • Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect wall and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel as needed.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday.
  • Capable of handling heavy loads.
  • Willingness to manage a large workload with tight deadlines.
  • Overtime may be required, and the role is physically demanding.
Tools and Equipment
  • Must possess personal tools and safety equipment.
  • Steel-toed safety boots, hard hats, and safety glasses are essential.

Experience
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
