Your Role

Our Red Deer office is seeking a Manager to take charge of the Assurance team and manage the following responsibilities:

  • Conduct audit and review engagements for both public and private clients, ensuring adherence to relevant professional standards and Firm policies.
  • Efficiently plan, oversee, and execute assurance and non-assurance engagements.
  • Assurance & Accounting projects may encompass the preparation of financial statements, accounting advisory, and participation in tax services for assurance and non-assurance clients.
  • Cultivate business opportunities with existing clients on an ongoing basis.
  • Address client concerns promptly, adhering to BDO Policy while leveraging your strong technical skills and accounting expertise.
  • Utilize appropriate industry and business knowledge to anticipate, identify, and resolve issues pertinent to the client's operations.

Your Qualifications and Experience

  • Professional designation required (CA, CMA, CGA, or CPA).
  • A minimum of 1 year of management experience in an accounting and/or assurance capacity.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Serve as a leader within the Firm, consistently focused on employee engagement.
  • Extensive experience related to IFRS and ASPE files.
