Restaurant Assistant Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team at 2ND WIND BREWERY AND EATERY. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of dedicated staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Plan and organize daily restaurant operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff scheduling.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of restaurant staff.
  • Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms to ensure accurate financial management.
  • Conduct performance reviews to identify areas for improvement and provide coaching and development opportunities.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies to ensure the best possible prices and quality.
  • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities to increase revenue and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation to promote the restaurant and increase customer engagement.
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of staff.
