Position Overview:

As a Lead Cloud Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting and executing Azure networking frameworks, which encompass virtual networks (VNets), subnets, network security groups (NSGs), and routing setups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and establish Azure network infrastructures, ensuring robust connectivity through VPNs, ExpressRoute, and other solutions.
  • Configure and manage Azure Load Balancers, Application Gateways, and Traffic Managers to optimize traffic flow.

Performance Management:

Utilize Azure Network Watcher and other monitoring tools to oversee network performance and reliability. Address and rectify network challenges promptly to maintain high availability and efficiency.

Security Implementation:

Enforce network security protocols, including firewalls, DDoS mitigation, and network segmentation to safeguard data integrity.

Automation and Efficiency:

Streamline network configurations and deployments through Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, PowerShell, and Azure CLI, enhancing operational efficiency.

Collaboration and Documentation:

Work closely with cloud architects, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of network solutions into broader cloud strategies. Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.

Training and Support:

Provide guidance and support to IT personnel on Azure networking best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years in cloud networking, particularly within the Azure ecosystem.

Technical Proficiencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of Azure networking components, including VNets, NSGs, VPN, ExpressRoute, Load Balancers, and Traffic Manager.
  • Experience with network security best practices and tools.
  • Proficient in scripting and automation using ARM templates, PowerShell, and Azure CLI.
  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and the integration of on-premises networks with Azure.

Certifications: Relevant certifications in cloud networking are advantageous.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.

Additional Considerations:

Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, to support network operations and maintenance.
