Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the administration of Microsoft SQL Server databases, with a focus on versions 2008R2 through 2017.
• Manage installations of SQL Server across various operating systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Facilitate migrations between SQL Server versions, enhancing system capabilities and performance.
• Conduct software upgrades and apply necessary service packs and patches to maintain system integrity.
• Utilize SQL Management Studio and other tools for effective database management and job scheduling.
Database Maintenance:
• Develop and implement database maintenance plans, including index management and integrity checks.
• Ensure robust backup, restore, and recovery processes are in place, alongside management of linked servers.
High Availability Solutions:
• Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies, including replication, log shipping, and clustering.
• Proficiently implement various replication models, ensuring data consistency and availability.
Performance Optimization:
• Actively engage in performance tuning of SQL queries and stored procedures using advanced tools and methodologies.
• Conduct thorough audits of database configurations and security settings to ensure compliance and performance.
Customer Engagement:
