Senior DevOps Engineer
Wedge Networks is on the lookout for candidates to fill a senior engineering role within our research and development division, focusing on the creation of solutions for our high-performance, cloud-based content security platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure tailored for service provider ecosystems.
- Continuously expand knowledge in cloud technologies and related trends.
- Establish operational procedures for product deployment across diverse cloud environments.
- Collaborate with leadership to enhance customer integration of the company's product offerings.
- Ensure alignment of DevOps initiatives with the strategic goals set by the organization.
- Contribute to industry thought leadership in the cloud infrastructure domain.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess:
- A university degree or equivalent in computer science, computer/electrical engineering, or a related discipline;
- Over 3 years of experience in developing robust software using Java (mandatory);
- At least 2 years of experience in cloud/virtual infrastructure (preferred);
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a service provider setting (preferred);
- Familiarity with SCRUM software development methodologies;
- Experience in deployment/configuration automation is advantageous;
- The ability to thrive in a dynamic environment;
- Proficiency in UNIX/LINUX systems;
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills;
- The capability to swiftly diagnose technology issues and navigate to solutions;
- The ability to effectively communicate with various teams, including QA and Operations.
