Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Fraser Health. As a Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and collect information from various sources to inform nursing care and develop individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to promote person-centered care and ensure seamless transitions throughout the care journey.
  • Provide direct nursing care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and managing patient acuity.
  • Document patient information, assessments, and care plans in accordance with Fraser Health's policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.
  • Act as a preceptor or mentor to new nursing staff and students, sharing knowledge and expertise to support their growth and development.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing and current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Two years recent relevant clinical experience in the designated clinical area and completion of post-graduate coursework and/or certification applicable to the designated clinical area.
  • Clinical proficiency in the designated clinical area, including the ability to initiate and maintain intravenous therapy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment.
