Job Summary

RhynoCare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the Delta region. As a LPN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to residents in long term and acute care facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and resident plans of care.
  • Utilize evidence-based nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care.
  • Ensure timely and accessible admissions, comprehensive orientations, and safe resident transfers and discharges.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of medication administration, resident care, and facility operations.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct regular assessments, evaluations, and updates of resident care plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Active registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Able to work with persons with infectious diseases.
  • BLS Certificate.
  • Valid First Aid & CPR.
  • Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV), proof of negative TB skin test within one (1) year, and Hepatitis B.
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied shift times, including eight (8) or twelve (12) hour shifts.
  • Ability to 'float' from unit to unit within a hospital, depending on facility need.
  • Reliability to be placed at an agreed-upon facility/unit.
  • Compliance with RhynoCare's shift acceptance/cancellation policy.
