What will you contribute to our team?
  • Investigation of Safety Concerns: As a Product Safety Investigator, your primary responsibility will be to examine safety issues related to Bombardier's products, including incidents, malfunctions, or other safety-related reports from customers or regulatory bodies.
Root Cause Analysis:
Your role involves conducting comprehensive analyses to uncover the underlying causes of safety incidents. This requires reviewing technical documentation, interviewing relevant parties, and assessing various elements of product design, manufacturing processes, and operational usage.

Regulatory Adherence:
It is essential to ensure compliance with aviation safety regulations. You will need a thorough understanding of pertinent regulatory frameworks, such as those set forth by Transport Canada Civil Aviation, the FAA, or EASA, to confirm that our products fulfill all necessary safety standards and certifications.

Risk Evaluation and Mitigation:
You will assist in evaluating potential risks associated with product design, manufacturing methods, and operational practices.

Documentation and Reporting:
Accurate documentation of investigations, findings, and corrective actions is vital. You will be responsible for producing detailed reports that encapsulate your findings and offer recommendations when appropriate.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Effective teamwork with various departments within the organization is crucial. You will work closely with engineering, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and other teams to address safety concerns and implement corrective actions.
How to thrive in this position?

Educational Background:
A technical college degree or a bachelor's degree in aerospace or a related technical discipline is required.

Technical Expertise:
You should have 4 to 7 years of pertinent experience in the aerospace industry.

Regulatory Acumen:
A solid understanding of SMS-related regulations and international standards (SM-0001) is necessary.

Analytical Proficiency:
Your capability to perform thorough root cause analyses, interpret technical information, and identify patterns or trends is essential.

Problem-Solving Skills:
You should exhibit strong problem-solving capabilities and a keen attention to detail.

Communication Abilities:
Fluency in both written and spoken French and English is essential, enabling effective communication with colleagues.
