Field Operations Manager

The primary role of the Field Operations Manager is to provide strategic leadership and oversight for the field operations of Harris Rebar, ensuring alignment with the company's core values and objectives. This position is crucial for fostering a safe and efficient work environment while meeting production schedules and contractual commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion a culture of safety within the field operations team.
  • Uphold and promote the core values of Harris Rebar.
  • Oversee branch operations, including financial performance and accountability.
  • Set clear expectations and objectives for team members.
  • Develop talent through mentorship and coaching of field supervisors and team members.
  • Guide field superintendents in managing daily operational activities.
  • Supervise the recruitment, training, and performance of all field personnel.

Safety Management:

  • Support field superintendents in achieving safety compliance.
  • Identify and rectify site hazards and unsafe conditions.
  • Assist in the development of site-specific safety plans prior to job commencement.
  • Provide ongoing support to the safety team.
  • Initiate necessary safety training programs for field personnel.

Operational Oversight:

  • Ensure effective planning, scheduling, and execution of work within budgetary constraints.
  • Manage off-site prefabrication operations for reinforcing materials.
  • Coordinate daily dispatch of resources and personnel.
  • Ensure job sites are equipped with the required tools and materials.

Administrative Duties:

  • Analyze monthly financial reports and labor resource allocations.
  • Ensure proper documentation for additional work performed in the field.
  • Assist with payroll processing and compliance for company vehicles.
  • Represent the organization in monthly operational meetings with other managers.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of fifteen years of experience in rebar installation.
  • Strong project management and coordination capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of rebar installation techniques.
  • Open-minded and results-driven approach.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Comprehensive background in safety training.

Special Requirements:

  • Ability to address and resolve issues that may arise within the branch.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk, sit, stand, and bend as needed.
  • Proficient in using hands for operating tools and equipment.
  • Capability to lift and handle equipment as required.
  • Ability to work in a moderately noisy environment.
