Associate Director, Treasury Services Performance Management

At Royal Bank of Canada, we are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our Treasury Services team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support, development, and analysis for our business advisory, financial planning, and analysis functions.
Key Responsibilities:- Produce thorough, accurate, and timely budget and expense management reports for the organization.
- Support the annual budgeting process, including analysis and review of financial information and its impact on the business.
- Analyze and interpret financial information for planning and control purposes.
- Oversee and evaluate the activities of the finance staff, providing guidance for their professional development.
- Present to an operating committee on a monthly basis and work closely with senior management.
- Collaborate with Treasury Services business management and senior management to support the creation of the Annual budget, monthly forecast, and 5-year strategic review.
- Provide historical financial data and analysis to support the creation of financial plans and help the business vet potential scenarios.
- Produce monthly business/industry management reports, working cross-functionally with various groups to gather, consolidate, and analyze relevant data.
- Meet monthly with business heads/business management to review financial results, gain market insights on performance drivers, and help the business flush out forecast updates based on expected future performance.
- Work collaboratively with Treasury Services business heads/business management on revenue projections, expected monthly results, and forecasted 3-months, tracking industry/products revenues, and upside/downside to revenue expectations.
- Provide the monthly analysis of financial results and expense analysis, data mining, balance sheet analysis, ensuring P&L is accurate and in line with expectations.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.
- 5+ years of recent relevant experience.
- Experience with Financial Statements orientation and comprehension; Financial Planning & Analysis.
- Previous Senior Management engagement and communication.
- Revenue/expense recognition, balance sheet impact, and reporting considerations experience.
- Strong computer skills in organizing and manipulating large amounts of data (Advanced MS Excel/Access preferred).
- RWA exposure.
- Excellent Communication skills (written & verbal).
