Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Treasury Manager to join our team at Manulife Financial Corporation. As a key member of our Corporate Treasury Operations department, you will be responsible for managing the Treasury Operations accounting model, including associated reconciliations, reporting, and journal entries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Treasury Operations accounting model, including associated reconciliations, reporting, and journal entries.
  • Oversee the controls functions related to access to Treasury-owned applications and signing authority limits.
  • Conduct routine AML/ATF scanning and payment fraud tasks.
  • Collaborate with the Director, Treasury Compliance & Controls to enhance the First Line of Defense Compliance Framework for Treasury Operations.
  • Document business continuity plans as the back-up Business Continuity Plan Coordinator for Treasury Operations.
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving process efficiencies while maintaining a robust control environment within Treasury Operations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all submissions.
  • Participate in audit processes, including SOX and Key Risk audits, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
Requirements
  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in the financial services industry, with expertise in treasury operations and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including OFSI guidelines and industry standards related to financial compliance.
  • Experienced in risk management and internal controls.
  • Tech-savvy, with advanced Excel skills including macros, and intermediate proficiency in analytics automation tools such as Power BI and Alteryx.
