The Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director, Treasury Services Performance Management to join our team. This role plays a critical part in the organization by providing support, development, and analysis for RBCCM through business advisory, financial planning, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing thorough, accurate, and timely budget and expense management reports for the organization.
  • Supporting the annual budgeting process, including analysis and review of financial information and its impact on the business.
  • Analyzing and interpreting financial information for planning and control purposes.
  • Overseeing and evaluating the activities of the finance staff, and providing guidance for their professional development.
  • Presenting to an operating committee on a monthly basis and working with senior management frequently.
  • Collaborating with Treasury Services business management/senior management to support the creation of the Annual budget, monthly forecast, and 5-year strategic review.
  • Providing the business with historical financial data and analysis that will be used as the baseline for creation of the financial plans.
  • Helping the business to vet potential scenarios, adding financial advisory input.
  • Producing monthly business/industry management reports, working cross-functionally with various groups to gather, consolidate, and analyze relevant data.
  • Meeting monthly with business heads/business management to review financial results, gain market insights on performance drivers, and help business to flush out forecast updates based on expected future performance.
  • Collaborating with Treasury Services business heads/business management on revenue projections, expected monthly results, and forecasted 3-months, tracking industry/products revenues, and upside/downside to revenue expectations.
  • Providing the monthly analysis of financial results and expense analysis, data mining, balance sheet analysis, ensuring P&L is accurate and in line with expectations.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.
    • 5+ years recent relevant experience.
    • Experience with Financial Statements orientation and comprehension; Financial Planning & Analysis.
    • Previous Senior Management engagement and communication.
    • Revenue/expense recognition, balance sheet impact, and reporting considerations experience.
    • Strong computer skills in organizing and manipulating large amounts of data (Advanced MS Excel/Access preferred).
    • RWA exposure.
    • Excellent Communication skills (written & verbal).
