Starbucks Department Manager - Full Time

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Department Manager to lead our Starbucks team in a fast-paced retail environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a career-driven individual to take on a leadership role and advance their career in the retail industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Hire, motivate, and mentor Team Members to achieve exceptional performance and customer satisfaction.
  2. Lead, coach, and train Team Members to maintain high productivity and engagement levels.
  3. Resolve Team Member and customer issues promptly and professionally.
  4. Ensure adherence to merchandising and operational standards, upholding company policies and procedures.
  5. Manage inventory, schedule, and financial objectives, implementing initiatives to support company goals.
  6. Monitor local competitors and adapt to market conditions to maintain a competitive edge.
  7. Provide exceptional customer service to Team Members, customers, and vendors.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Starbucks department with management experience and product knowledge.
  2. Thorough understanding of financials with a proven track record of delivering on financial targets.
  3. Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new systems.
  4. Understanding of Employment Standards, WHMIS, Food Safety, and Loss Prevention practices.
  5. Ability to role model and inspire behavior consistent with our values.
  6. Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
  7. Ownership to resolve issues with a sense of urgency.
  8. Effective communication and listening skills.
  9. Strong creativity skills and ability to create eye-catching displays.
  10. Ability to work in a store retail environment, with flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends.
  11. Travel may be required to support off-site events.
