Key Responsibilities:
- Motivate and Mentor Team Members: Lead and motivate a team of grocery department staff to achieve high levels of productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Support Team Meetings: Assist with organizing and facilitating regular team meetings to discuss departmental performance and goals.
- Coach and Train Team Members: Provide coaching and training to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Handle Customer and Team Member Issues: Resolve customer and team member issues in a fair and timely manner.
- Uphold Company Policies and Procedures: Ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed, including health and safety, food safety, and loss prevention.
- Merchandise and Manage Inventory: Work with the Grocery Manager to merchandise and manage inventory to meet financial objectives.
- Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to all customers, team members, and vendors.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-Year Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a grocery department with a solid understanding of product knowledge.
- Strong Customer Service Skills: Strong customer service skills and the ability to build relationships with team members and customers.
- Leadership and Coaching Skills: Ability to lead, coach, motivate, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong Computer Skills: Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Ownership and Urgency: Ownership to resolve issues with a sense of urgency.
- Effective Communication and Listening Skills: Effective communication and listening skills.
- Strong Creativity Skills: Strong creativity skills and the ability to create eye-catching displays.
- Ability to Role Model and Inspire: Ability to role model and inspire behavior consistent with our values.
- Availability and Travel: Must be available to work days, evenings, and weekends, and travel is required to support off-site events.
