Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively train team members to understand company policies and procedures while ensuring clear communication with customers.
- Manage departmental scheduling to align with business requirements in the absence of the store manager.
- Address customer complaints promptly and efficiently.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations within the store, ensuring compliance among staff.
- Inspire and guide team members.
- Assign and prioritize tasks for staff effectively.
- Implement merchandising strategies for advertising and promotional initiatives.
- Set ambitious yet attainable sales targets.
- Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities.
- Receive, store, and manage products to achieve optimal results.
- Ensure proper product rotation as necessary.
- Provide appropriate signage for displays to boost sales and profits.
- Maintain pricing accuracy.
- Promote and uphold high standards of customer service.
- Assume accountability for store operations in the absence of the Franchisee, including key carrying and alarm responsibilities.
- Perform any additional duties necessary to ensure a friendly service, competitively priced products, and a store that meets hygiene standards.
Ideal Candidate:
- A collaborative team player with a keen eye for detail.
- Self-motivated and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Resourceful and polite when addressing customer inquiries.
- Eager to learn and grow professionally.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in a grocery store setting is essential.
- Proven understanding of the key success factors for a discount food store model focused on low pricing.
- Comprehension of the produce department's influence on overall store performance, including:
- Merchandising in accordance with established standards.
- Maintaining and ordering appropriate inventory levels.
- Verifying invoices for accurate pricing.
- Ensuring cleanliness to meet required standards.
What You Offer:
Availability and flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Ability to lift up to 50lbs and maintain mobility throughout the shift.
