Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will assist the Store Manager in the day-to-day operation and management of the store, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to customers and colleagues
  • Assist the Store Manager in achieving sales and profitability targets
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching, training, and feedback
  • Manage store operations, including inventory, ordering, and merchandising
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Participate in community events and promote Farm Boy's brand
  • Support the Store Manager in implementing health and safety programs
  • Perform other related duties as required

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in business or a related field
  • 5-7 years of retail management experience, preferably in the perishable food industry
  • Public Health Food Handler certification, Smart Serve, and First Aid certification
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Fluency in English and French is an asset

  • Standing and walking for long periods
  • Lifting, carrying, and handling heavy objects
  • Adapting to temperature changes
