The Housekeeper is integral to fostering a positive experience for individuals utilizing antenatal services.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining an adequately stocked ward with essential supplies and consumables. This includes ensuring that all equipment is cleaned to the highest standards in accordance with local infection control protocols, while also monitoring the functionality of equipment and reporting any issues to the appropriate departments. By providing support and a welcoming presence, the Housekeeper significantly enhances the patient experience during their hospital stay.

Additional Duties
The Maternity Ward Support Specialist will:
- Collaborate effectively with the multi-disciplinary team to maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients, their families, and visitors.
- Communicate any concerns regarding patient conditions to the qualified midwife.
- Uphold patient privacy and dignity at all times.
- Notify the Midwife in Charge of any issues that may hinder cleaning or compromise the safety of the environment.
- Actively contribute to the nutritional needs of patients within the ward.
- May undertake administrative and clinical tasks as required.
- Adhere to Trust policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications and Skills
Knowledge
