Position Overview

The Senior Pastry Chef plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the Pastry Kitchen. This position serves as the primary contact for junior chefs, guiding them in their culinary growth.

  • Collaborate with the team to review daily production requirements
  • Prepare and, when necessary, assign tasks for the creation of pastry items
  • Engage in the mentorship and training of less experienced kitchen staff
  • Adhere to recipes and presentation standards, accommodating special dietary needs as required
  • Ensure compliance with opening and closing procedures for the station
  • Support the implementation of Health & Safety regulations, maintaining a clean and secure work environment for all team members

Required Qualifications

  • Culinary degree with a minimum of 3 years of pastry experience, including expertise in bread making and chocolate artistry
  • Proven experience in both small and large-scale baking operations
  • Prior leadership experience within a kitchen setting
  • Valid food safety certification
