Job Title: Senior Legal Counsel, Commercial Law

Foresters Financial Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will provide expert legal support and advice to our organization, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality legal advice and support to our business units, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and implement effective legal strategies to mitigate risks and achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of legal services with business operations.
  • Manage external counsel and vendors to ensure efficient and cost-effective legal services.
Requirements:
  • 5-12 years of legal experience, with a focus on commercial law.
  • Subject matter expertise in two or more areas of law.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Proficient in legal research and analysis, with the ability to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and direction, with a creative and flexible approach to problem-solving.
