Position Overview

The role of the Accounting Assistant at Epoch Environmental Consulting involves a variety of financial responsibilities aimed at maintaining the integrity of financial records and ensuring smooth operations.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of a college, CEGEP, or equivalent non-university program lasting 1 to 2 years.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the general ledger.
  • Execute journal entries accurately.
  • Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
  • Administer payroll processes efficiently.
  • Collect outstanding payments from clients.
  • Perform clerical tasks, including maintaining filing and record systems.
  • Generate financial statements and comprehensive reports.
  • Manage cash flow effectively.
Technical Proficiency
  • Familiarity with Sage Accounting Software.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word.
Industry Experience
  • Experience in a consulting firm is preferred.
