Job OverviewThe Team: Join a committed group focused on providing accessible and high-quality services to the community. Emphasizing collaboration, continuous improvement, and diverse viewpoints is essential to achieving our objectives. In this capacity, you will collaborate with fellow leaders and stakeholders to ensure our service centers effectively address community needs.
The Role: This position plays a crucial role in overseeing and supporting in-person service centers, guaranteeing that citizens and businesses receive exceptional service. You will motivate and direct your team to uphold high service standards while managing various operational and statutory responsibilities. Your leadership will significantly enhance the reputation of the service.
Qualifications and Experience- High School Diploma or GED
- Proven experience in leading teams to deliver outstanding in-person and/or virtual services.
- Ability to manage conflicts and engage with emotionally charged individuals or groups.
- Experience in a dynamic environment with frequently changing and competing priorities.
- Expertise in managing a wide range of human resource functions, including performance management, leave management, recruitment, and retention.
- Experience in coaching, training, and developing a team to deliver top-tier service.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Business Management, Public Administration, Finance, Commerce, Leadership, or a related field.
- Management or supervisory experience.
- Experience in a unionized environment.
- Experience in implementing process improvements or organizational changes.
- Ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies, and procedures, particularly in finance and budgeting.
- Experience utilizing analytics for informed business decisions, resource allocation, and outcome evaluation.
- Experience leading remote or geographically distributed teams.
- Experience in a public sector or regulated environment.
- Experience managing projects or programs with multiple stakeholders.
- Commitment to staying informed on current trends and issues through ongoing training and participation in projects.
- Willingness to complete the Certified Service Manager (CSM) training within 6 months of availability.
- Willingness to travel as required.
This position is excluded from union membership and has full-time on-site requirements. A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be necessary. Employees must be located in the region at the time of employment.
