About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Asset Protection Representative to join our team at Loblaw Companies Limited. As an Asset Protection Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our retail locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deter, detect, and apprehend theft and fraud within our retail locations
  • Collaborate with other Asset Protection Representatives to investigate provincial or national Organized Retail Crime (ORC) cases
  • Regularly collaborate with local law enforcement agencies
  • Investigate internal investigations, compile and present evidence for court or arbitration purposes
  • Identify and mitigate potential shrink opportunities within our operational core compliance
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with store management and colleagues, providing coaching and mentoring on Asset Protection policies and procedures
  • Participate in conducting store-level audits
  • Participate in community events
  • Work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends (40-hour work week)
Requirements
  • Valid Provincial Security Guard License required
  • Basic understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and Powers of Arrest, as well as CCTV and/or surveillance systems
  • Working knowledge of Windows-based applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor
  • High degree of initiative and integrity required to succeed in a dynamic environment
