Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a highly skilled Asset Protection Representative to join our team. As an Asset Protection Representative, you will play a critical role in protecting our stores and assets from theft and fraud.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deter, detect, and apprehend individuals who attempt to steal or commit fraud within our retail locations.
  • Collaborate with other Asset Protection Representatives to investigate provincial or national Organized Retail Crime (ORC) cases.
  • Regularly collaborate with local law enforcement agencies to share intelligence and best practices.
  • Investigate internal theft and shrinkage, compiling and presenting evidence for court or arbitration purposes.
  • Identify potential shrink opportunities within our operational core compliance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with store management and colleagues, providing coaching and mentoring on Asset Protection policies and procedures.
  • Participate in conducting store-level audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in community events to promote Asset Protection awareness and build relationships with local law enforcement.

Requirements:

  • Valid Provincial Security Guard License required.
  • Basic understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and Powers of Arrest.
  • Working knowledge of Windows-based applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor.
  • High degree of initiative and integrity required to succeed in a dynamic environment.
