Axelon Services Corporation is seeking a qualified Senior Applications Support Analyst.
This position operates on a Hybrid Schedule.

Candidates must have reliable internet access, a computer, and a mobile device for remote connectivity to client systems during telecommuting.

In-office attendance is required three days a week, subject to team needs.

Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Applications Support Analyst delivers both technical and business assistance for users of client applications. This role involves:
  • Providing prompt resolutions to application-related issues.
  • Enhancing stability, efficiency, and effectiveness to support business objectives.
  • Overseeing application systems that are operational within the organization.
  • Managing and supporting applications and their environments, ensuring alignment with service level expectations.
  • Conducting start-of-day checks, ongoing monitoring, and regional handovers.
  • Performing same-day risk reconciliations.
  • Creating and maintaining technical support documentation.
  • Identifying opportunities to optimize application performance.
  • Assessing risks and impacts of production issues, escalating to management as necessary.
  • Ensuring proper storage and archiving procedures are implemented and functioning.
  • Defining scope and objectives for complex application enhancements and troubleshooting.
  • Reviewing and developing contingency plans for application availability.
  • Collaborating with development and production support teams to prioritize bug fixes and tooling needs.
  • Participating in application releases, from development through to deployment.
  • Engaging in post-implementation analysis to confirm successful system design and functionality.
  • Considering the implications of technology applications in the current environment, identifying risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Ensuring compliance with essential procedures and contributing to the establishment of operational standards.
  • Acting as a liaison between users and internal technology groups.
  • Raising issues to the appropriate technology and business teams while adhering to service level agreements.
  • Providing mentorship to junior analysts.
  • Exercising evaluative judgment based on factual analysis in complex situations.
  • Directly influencing business outcomes through the quality of work delivered.
  • Demonstrating strong communication and diplomacy skills to convey complex information effectively.
  • Taking ownership of support project initiatives focused on stability, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
  • Operating with a degree of autonomy and exercising independent judgment.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and team members.

Qualifications:
  • 5-8 years of experience in an Application Support capacity.
  • Experience in installing, configuring, or supporting business applications.
  • Familiarity with programming languages and a willingness to learn.
  • Strong execution capabilities and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical issues for non-technical staff.
  • Proven analytical skills.
  • Experience with issue tracking and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of problem management tools.
  • Comprehensive technical skills.
  • Ability to effectively share information with team members and other technology groups.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage workload effectively.
  • Consistent demonstration of clear communication skills.
