Senior Applications Development Analyst

Axelon Services Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Applications Development Analyst for a contract opportunity.
This position operates on a Hybrid Schedule.
Candidates must have reliable internet access, a computer, and a mobile device for remote connectivity to client systems during remote work.
The expectation is to be present in the office three days a week, depending on team requirements.Interview Process:
Video or face-to-face interviews are mandatory prior to any offers being extended.
The Senior Applications Development Analyst (C12) is an intermediate-level role responsible for engaging in the establishment and execution of new or revised application systems and programs in collaboration with the Technology team.
The primary objective of this position is to contribute to application systems analysis and programming activities.Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost assessments, IT planning, risk management, applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs to fulfill specific business needs or user requirements.
- Oversee and manage all phases of the development process, including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation, while providing user and operational support on applications to business users.
- Utilize specialized knowledge in applications development to analyze complex issues, evaluate business processes, system processes, and industry standards, and make informed judgments.
- Recommend and develop security measures during post-implementation analysis of business usage to ensure effective system design and functionality.
- Collaborate with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, propose advanced programming solutions, and assist in the installation and support of customer-facing systems.
- Ensure adherence to essential procedures and help define operational standards and processes.
- Act as a mentor or coach to junior analysts.
- Operate with a limited level of direct supervision, exercising independence of judgment and autonomy.
- Serve as a subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and team members.
- Appropriately assess risks when making business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding its clients and assets by ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, and applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior and business practices.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 8 to 11 years of hands-on experience in application development.
- Primary Skill Set:
Proficiency in Java 17, Spring Boot 3.0, Angular 14+, JavaScript, PL/SQL (Oracle 19c), Database Design and Optimization, Microservices (Spring Boot), Web Services, Design Patterns, Kafka, and Elasticsearch.
- Familiarity with:Spark, Node.js, Jenkins, OpenShift, Autosys, Kafka.
- Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications.
- Proven track record in managing and executing successful projects.
- Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques and methods.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
