Role Overview:
The Senior Application Support Analyst is a highly skilled professional responsible for providing both technical and business support for users of Client Applications.

This role involves delivering prompt resolutions to application-related issues while driving improvements in stability, efficiency, and effectiveness to ensure business success.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining application systems that are operational within the firm.
  • Managing and supporting applications and their environments, focusing on stability and quality.
  • Conducting start-of-day checks and continuous monitoring.
  • Performing same-day risk reconciliations.
  • Developing and maintaining technical support documentation.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance application performance.
  • Assessing risks and impacts of production issues, escalating as necessary.
  • Ensuring proper storage and archiving procedures are implemented.
  • Defining scope and objectives for complex application enhancements.
  • Reviewing and developing contingency plans for application availability.
  • Collaborating with development and production support teams to prioritize bug fixes.
  • Participating in application releases, from development through to production deployment.
  • Engaging in post-implementation analysis to validate system design and functionality.
  • Identifying risks and security issues, communicating their impacts.
  • Ensuring compliance with essential procedures and operational standards.
  • Acting as a liaison between users and internal technology groups.
  • Providing guidance to junior analysts and team members.
  • Demonstrating sound judgment based on factual analysis in complex situations.
  • Contributing to the overall quality of work and team performance.


Qualifications:
  • 5-8 years of experience in an Application Support role.
  • Experience in installing, configuring, or supporting business applications.
  • Familiarity with programming languages and a willingness to learn.
  • Strong analytical skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Experience with issue tracking and reporting tools.
  • Good technical skills and the ability to share information effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage workload efficiently.
