We are seeking a dedicated and experienced teacher to join our vibrant community at Nelson Christian Community School. As a BC certified teacher, you will be responsible for leading a multi-grade elementary class and contributing to our faith-based education environment.

Job Description

Our ideal candidate will have recent experience working in a classroom and a strong understanding of the new BC curriculum. They will also possess exceptional classroom management skills, a willingness to work closely with parents, and strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach and engage students in a multi-grade classroom setting
  • Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the BC curriculum
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Education degree
  • A valid BC teaching certificate and current membership in the Teacher Regulation Branch
  • Recent experience working in a classroom
  • Knowledge and understanding of the new BC curriculum
  • Exceptional classroom management skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
