The Client Support Specialist plays a crucial role in executing customer service functions within a call center environment, aiming to elevate the overall customer experience. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing ongoing relationships with regional clients and sales personnel by addressing incoming inquiries, rectifying order discrepancies, processing customer orders, and resolving product or service-related issues.
  • Processing sales orders and modifications, confirming shipment/delivery schedules, and handling cancellations.
  • Providing specialty gas and supplies sales support to clients, fellow Client Support Specialists, and the external sales team.
  • Utilizing business software systems to access customer data, verify inventory levels, and process orders.
  • Assessing customer credit status and completing necessary documentation for issuing credits or debits.
  • Offering quotes and assistance to the sales team and management within established parameters.
  • Recommending additional or alternative products and services to fulfill customer requirements, adhering to pricing guidelines.
  • Providing customers with informational resources such as sales brochures and marketing materials.
  • Handling phone inquiries related to service calls and product orders.
  • Building and maintaining effective working relationships with all internal stakeholders.
  • Meeting performance metrics set for the call center.
  • Coordinating product sourcing from both internal and external sources.
  • Performing other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; college education or equivalent experience preferred
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in customer service or retail sales required
  • Familiarity with industry products including hardgoods, welding supplies, industrial gases, specialty gases, and medical gases
  • Strong computer proficiency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and demonstrate self-motivation
  • Flexibility to work varied hours
  • Hybrid work arrangement available after completion of training with managerial approval.
