About the Job

As a member of our SST team, working closely with our management team, the SST Specialist will be responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and controlling activities related to workplace accident prevention and occupational disease prevention for the sites assigned to them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a change agent to develop a SST culture among all managers/employees for all assigned sites;
  • Advise and support managers on their various SST files;
  • Collaborate in the development and implementation of various SST programs, policies, procedures, and tools;
  • Conduct professional risk analyses and propose prevention measures;
  • Conduct workplace accident investigations and analyses jointly with managers, and ensure the implementation of corrective and preventive measures as needed;

Requirements

  • Diploma of college studies or university certificate in SST, minimum;
  • Five years of experience in a similar position;
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations related to occupational health and safety;
  • Excellent communication and dissemination skills;
  • Excellent planning, organization, and adaptability skills;
  • Technical skills acquired in an industrial manufacturing environment;
  • Ability to work with rigor, manage multiple files simultaneously;
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, autonomy, and a client-oriented approach;
  • Microsoft Office skills;
  • Bilingualism (an asset);
  • Valid driver's license and availability to travel between various company sites.
