The Government of Nunavut is seeking a highly skilled Employee Relations Consultant to provide expert advice, training, and guidance to departments handling employer/employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
Key Responsibilities- Recommend courses of action in complex employee/employer interactions
- Investigate employee/employer issues
- Resolve grievances at the final level prior to arbitration
- Assist managers in disciplinary actions
- Provide guidance on collective agreements and human resource policies
- Implement strategies to promote a positive working environment
- Plan and organize cases for arbitration and Human Rights tribunals
- Master's degree in Industrial Relations, Business, or related field
- Minimum 2 years' experience in employee relations or human resources
- Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills
- Knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, and language an asset
