Position Overview

This full-time, on-site position (located in Surrey) is intended for a CPA with at least two years of experience in public accounting. The role encompasses responsibilities such as preparing financial statements, engaging in tax strategy development, and applying accounting expertise to advise clients on both personal and corporate tax matters.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Execute compilation, review, audit, and tax engagements
  2. Prepare and assess financial statements for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, as well as corporate tax filings
  3. Communicate with clients and tax authorities
  4. Prepare personal tax returns and related information returns as necessary
  5. Offer guidance and mentorship to junior accounting personnel
  6. Conduct complex reconciliations and address discrepancies in financial records
  7. Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and standards, implementing necessary updates

Required Qualifications

  1. Canadian CPA designation (or candidates in the final stages of the CPA program)
  2. Bachelor's degree
  3. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a CPA firm
  4. Expertise in finance and accounting
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  6. Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  7. Proficiency in accounting software, tax software, and Microsoft Office Suite
  8. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
  9. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation Package

Base salary ranges from $75,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
