Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Caribbean cuisine specialist to join our team at Safron's Caribbean Delight. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, including traditional West Indian and Caribbean and Latin American cuisine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation
    • Plan and prepare menus for special events and daily operations
    • Estimate food requirements and manage inventory
  • Cooking and Food Preparation
    • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
    • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Kitchen Operations
    • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety
    • Order supplies and equipment as needed
    • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Team Management
    • Manage kitchen operations and supervise kitchen staff
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Language and Communication
    • English language proficiency
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced environment with attention to detail required
    • Physically demanding with handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods
Working Conditions
  • Work Schedule
    • 40 to 44 hours per week

    • Restaurant environment with a focus on customer satisfaction
