About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at Safron's Caribbean Delight. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, including Caribbean and Latin American cuisine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation: Plan and prepare menus, estimate food requirements, and ensure that all dishes are prepared to a high standard.
  • Cooking and Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, including dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas, order supplies and equipment, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure that all dishes are prepared and served to a high standard.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, including responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent cooking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for this role.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time role that requires the ability to work in a physically demanding environment. The successful candidate will be required to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
