Position Overview:
As an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN), you will deliver a comprehensive array of healthcare services to diverse patient populations, ensuring their safety and overall well-being. Your responsibilities will encompass the application of nursing methodologies, employing critical thinking, problem-solving, and informed decision-making. You will also engage in education, counseling, and advocacy for patients and their families, playing a pivotal role in fostering an integrated and holistic approach to healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Support the Emergency Department's operational flow by identifying patients who may benefit from early assessments and interventions.
- Initiate diagnostic investigations, manage symptom relief, and collaborate with the triage nursing team.
- Work closely with nursing personnel to facilitate the care of patients awaiting formal treatment spaces.
- Utilize strong multitasking and prioritization skills to navigate the dynamic environment of the emergency department.
Essential Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must possess:
- A completed Nurse Practitioner program and a minimum of a master's degree.
- Registration with the CRNA on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar, including Provisional Graduate Nurse Practitioner licensure.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
Additional Qualifications:
Candidates should also have:
- A Baccalaureate of Nursing degree and requisite RN practice hours.
- Commitment to ongoing education and certifications pertinent to the area of practice.
- Completion of AHS Annual Requirements and basic healthcare provider CPR training.
