Overview of Your Future Role at BBA Consultants

  1. Execute engineering initiatives in accordance with IEC 61850 standards tailored for digital power systems.
  2. Assume various responsibilities, including project management and proposal development.
  3. Craft competitive and value-driven proposals.
  4. Develop protection schematics (logic and control diagrams).
  5. Design the architecture and configuration for substation HMI/SCADA systems.
  6. Set up smart electronic devices (such as relays and substation controllers).
  7. Oversee testing processes at BBA's digital power systems laboratory.
  8. Commission digital power systems.

Certifications and Job Requirements Overview

  1. University degree in engineering.
  2. Minimum of five years of experience in the power systems domain.
  3. Willingness to travel as required.
  4. Availability for short- and long-term assignments at client locations.
  5. Asset: Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
  6. Familiarity with substation technology.
  7. Understanding of protection relay configuration.
  8. Asset: knowledge of the IEC 61850 standard.
  9. Asset: experience with HMI/SCADA system configuration.
  10. Asset: knowledge of testing equipment for protection relays.
  11. Asset: advanced degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
