About the Role

The Manitoba Government is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Superintendent to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our buildings and grounds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff, including scheduling and assigning tasks.
  • Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to identify and address any maintenance issues.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and budgets to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Provide excellent customer service to tenants and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as facilities management or a trade.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a maintenance or facilities management role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the role, including lifting and carrying heavy equipment.
