Qualifications
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in a similar role
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess food portion sizes and associated costs
  • Design menus and calculate food requirements for successful execution
  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals and individual dishes
  • Cook specialized meals for patients as directed by dietitians or chefs
  • Instruct staff on food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety
  • Oversee kitchen personnel and support staff
  • Manage inventory and maintain records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and work areas
  • Participate in the recruitment and hiring of kitchen staff
  • Coordinate buffets and banquet events
