About the Position

We are seeking a Field Claims Adjuster to enhance our dynamic team.

As a member of the Field Claims team, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients. Collaborating with a diverse and passionate group of claims adjusters, you will help customers navigate the aftermath of losses.

Your empathy and expertise will be invaluable as you tackle complex claims and losses across both personal and commercial sectors. With over 75 distinct roles within our Claims department, there are abundant opportunities for career advancement tailored to your aspirations.

Travel Expectations:

This role requires responding to claims across various regions.

While all applications are welcome, we particularly need support in several areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your technical skills to address each unique case effectively.
  • Evaluate policy language and damages to determine suitable coverage.
  • Assess potential liabilities through consultations with experts.
  • Negotiate settlements with clients, claimants, legal representatives, and insurers within your authority.
  • Engage in claims catastrophes (CATs) and assist with overflow work as necessary.
  • Foster relationships and collaborate with teams in appraisal, underwriting, and legal.
  • Manage costs with efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay informed about insurance products and trends in appraisal and investigation methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a 5A Claims Adjuster Certificate is required.
  • A minimum of two years' experience as a property adjuster is essential.
  • A college diploma or equivalent experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with legal frameworks is necessary.
  • Proficiency in both French and English is required.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel on short notice is expected.
