Wawanesa Insurance is seeking a highly skilled Auto Claims Adjuster to join our team. As an Auto Claims Adjuster, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional and consistent claims service experiences to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that customer needs are met in a timely and professional manner.
- Interpret policy wordings, determine policy coverage, and ensure appropriate reserving to ensure accurate and fair claims settlements.
- Investigate losses to determine liability and evaluate relevant information from sources such as appraisers, third-party adjusters, contractors, and repair facilities to quantify losses.
- Coordinate services with vendors and service providers to ensure seamless claims processing.
- Adjust claims from inception to completion in a proactive manner, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed and filed accurately.
- Maintain accurate records based on company standards and policies within the claims system.
- Stay up-to-date with legislative changes and trends in the insurance industry to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Experience in insurance adjusting, preferably in the auto claims sector.
- Fluency in both French and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders.
- Possession of a Claims Adjuster Permit through the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) is mandatory.
- Possession of a Commercial Permit through the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) is an asset.
- Working towards Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is highly desirable.
- Effective customer service skills, including empathy and concern for customers.
- Strong investigative and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a critical degree of accuracy regarding data entry.
- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to resolve disputes and negotiate settlements.
