Texada Software is on the lookout for a dedicated Engineering Project Manager to enhance our Project Management Office (PMO) team. In this role, you will thrive in a dynamic setting, leading and supporting internal project management for engineering and product initiatives. Your focus will encompass project oversight, risk assessment, application delivery, issue resolution, and providing support to our engineering teams.
Importance of the Role
The Project Manager's expertise is vital in ensuring that projects adhere to our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes, remain within scope, are delivered on schedule, and stay within budget while upholding high-quality standards.
Work Environment
This position offers flexibility with remote or hybrid options. While regular office attendance is not required, you may need to participate in occasional in-person meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage moderately complex engineering and product initiatives throughout the SDLC, from initial discovery to deployment.
- Facilitate sprint planning for product features to optimize efficiency and prioritize execution.
- Identify and communicate project risks proactively, suggesting mitigation strategies and escalating critical issues to senior team members and stakeholders.
- Lead project meetings, prepare agendas, document notes, and ensure clear follow-up on action items.
- Act as a collaborative team member, taking the initiative to support the team in delivering new product and application features.
Desired Qualifications
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 1-3 years of experience in project coordination or a similar role, ideally within a software or technology context.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on precision.
- Capable of working independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.

- Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.
- Experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Aha.
