We are currently in search of a Family Support and Education Specialist to contribute to our mission on a Full-time Permanent Basis . Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in outreach initiatives to connect with at-risk families
  • Conduct home visits and collaborate with healthcare professionals
  • Build rapport with families to assess their needs and aspirations
  • Implement methods for the early detection of children's developmental challenges
  • Provide education to parents regarding child growth and effective parenting techniques
  • Foster social support and parent community networks
  • Connect families with local programs and resources
  • Stay informed about community services available
  • Mentor and guide students and volunteers

Required Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive understanding of parenting and child development
  • Empathy towards families experiencing challenges
  • Proficient communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification
  • Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Police Reference Check
