Job Title: Family Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Medicine Specialist to join our team at the Haliburton Family Medical Centre.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting medical examinations, and developing treatment plans to promote health and well-being. They will work collaboratively with our team to ensure seamless patient care and contribute to the growth and development of our medical centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough medical examinations and gather patient information to identify health issues and develop treatment plans
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments as needed
  • Consult with other medical professionals to evaluate patient health and develop comprehensive care plans
  • Provide education and support to patients on healthy habits, disease prevention, and management
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Participate in health care policy and planning to improve patient outcomes and centre operations
Requirements:
  • College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP)
  • Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC)
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
  • Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE I and MCCQE II)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in rural medicine
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
