Job Title: Family Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Medicine Specialist to join our team at the Haliburton Family Medical Centre.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting medical examinations, and developing treatment plans to meet the unique needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and analyze medical information from patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals
  • Conduct thorough medical examinations to identify diseases and injuries
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to promote healthy habits and prevent illnesses
  • Order laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures to determine the most effective course of treatment
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to evaluate patients' physical and mental health
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments as needed
  • Participate in health care policy and planning to improve patient outcomes
  • Advise patients on health care and provide education on healthy lifestyle choices
  • Supervise staff and ensure a safe and efficient work environment
Requirements:
  • College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP)
  • Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC)
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
  • Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE I and MCCQE II)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Rural medicine experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
