Position Overview: Select People Solutions is collaborating with a prominent transportation client in their search for a skilled Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. This role is ideal for individuals who are exceptionally organized, proactive, and thrive in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and nurture strong, lasting relationships with an established customer base.
  • Oversee mileage management while adhering to Federal and Provincial Hours of Service regulations.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and the Safety Department to fulfill fleet requirements.
  • Ensure profit levels meet management expectations.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing inquiries effectively.
  • Perform data entry tasks, ensuring accuracy in records and filing.
  • Prioritize safety, efficiency, and effectiveness in all operations.
  • Plan, monitor, and maintain permits for oversized loads, including pilot cars.

Required Qualifications:
  • Willingness to relocate to the designated area.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in dispatch or fleet management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of cross-border shipping regulations and compliance.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing high-pressure situations.
  • Proficient in dispatch and fleet management software.
  • Analytical and adaptable to changing circumstances.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Office, and Outlook.
  • At least 2 years of experience in customer service or administrative roles.

Education & Experience:
  • Diploma or degree in logistics or supply chain management is advantageous but not mandatory based on experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of dispatch or fleet management experience.
  • Knowledge of Federal and Provincial Hours of Service and ELD regulations.
  • Certifications related to logistics or fleet management are beneficial.

Additional Considerations:
  • Current residency in the area is a plus.
  • Post-secondary education in business or administration is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in dispatch or logistics is beneficial.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Competitive salary of $60K/year.
  • Health benefits available after a specified period.
  • This is a full-time, permanent position.
