Job Title: Area Operations Supervisor

Job Overview:

The Area Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing various departmental activities, including sanitation, roadway maintenance, and snow management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise frontline teams, including onboarding, training, conflict management, and upkeep of tools and equipment
  • Foster leadership, encourage teamwork, and promote a culture of cooperation
  • Address routine issues and emergency scenarios with prompt decision-making
  • Operate cleaning, roadway maintenance, and snow removal machinery safely
  • Collaborate with other departments as part of a larger team effort
  • Communicate work orders, address concerns, and oversee cleanliness standards
  • Assist with waste management and organization of bear-proof disposal units
  • Maintain documentation of all tasks performed and compliance with safety protocols
  • Participate in staff recruitment, training, and professional growth
  • Understand maintenance procedures for janitorial equipment

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities
  • Self-driven, collaborative individual with excellent communication skills
  • Clear criminal background and valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education is an advantage
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and planning skills
  • Previous experience in cleaning services is highly valued
  • First Aid and Mental Health First Aid certifications are considered beneficial
