Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Housekeeping Manager to join our team at Hotel Squamish Operations Ltd. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our housekeeping staff and ensuring that our hotel maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping supervisors and crews to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and maintenance of hotel rooms and public areas.
    • Provide guidance and support to housekeeping staff to ensure they have the necessary tools and resources to perform their duties.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Conduct regular inspections of hotel rooms and public areas to ensure they meet our high standards of cleanliness and quality.
    • Identify and address any issues or concerns related to housekeeping operations and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage and maintain accurate financial records related to housekeeping operations, including inventory and supplies.
    • Monitor and control housekeeping expenses to ensure they are within budget.
  • Performance Management
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and appraisals of housekeeping staff to ensure they are meeting their performance goals and objectives.
    • Provide feedback and coaching to housekeeping staff to help them improve their performance and achieve their full potential.
  • Inventory and Supply Management
    • Manage and maintain accurate inventory records of housekeeping supplies and equipment.
    • Order and procure housekeeping supplies and equipment as needed to ensure that our hotel has the necessary resources to maintain high standards of cleanliness and quality.
  • Communication and Customer Service
    • Respond to guest complaints and concerns related to housekeeping operations in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Communicate effectively with hotel staff and management to ensure that housekeeping operations are aligned with hotel goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a housekeeping or hospitality management role.
  • Language
    • English language proficiency.
