Regional Manager - Canada

Part Time / Full Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Manager to oversee the operations of our Canada facilities, including Toronto (Gormley) and Ottawa (Kanata). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of Sales Executives, developing sales strategies, and identifying new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational management of the Canadian region and labs, ensuring compliance with TüV Süd policies and ISO 17025 guidelines.
  • Manage direct sales team to target and projection.
  • Create detailed business plans to achieve goals and quotas.
  • Develop annual budget and financial forecast, monitoring spending and making adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with other Regional Managers to ensure sites are staffed and equipped to meet business needs.
  • Streamline processes and workflow to improve efficiency.
  • Support customer meetings, inquiries, and testing to drive business development.
  • Oversee technical leads to ensure operational performance and timing of projects.
  • Support hiring, training, and growth of technicians and engineers.
  • Develop lab and equipment strategy to support efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Provide professional after-sales support to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate agreements with current and prospective clients.
  • Ensure site operations maintain compliance with environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements.

Requirements:

  • Well-versed in technical/engineering details related to modern technology/TIC business.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage lab operations to drive revenue and satisfy customer deliverables.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle deadlines.
  • Articulate, professional, courteous, and effective manner with internal and external customers.
  • Customer service-oriented.
  • Self-starter with a positive outlook and motivated attitude.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in product safety compliance services.
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory/leadership experience, including development of individuals and teams.
  • Minimum 5 years operational experience in a lab environment with financial/cost responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of market research, sales, and negotiating principles.
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate.
