About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to join our team at PCL Construction. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Work closely with the project manager to ensure the successful delivery of projects, including planning, coordination, and execution.
  • Site Supervision: Supervise and direct a team of construction workers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to complete their tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that work is being carried out to the required standards, and identify and address any quality issues promptly.
  • Safety Management: Develop and implement safety plans, ensuring that all site personnel are aware of and comply with safety procedures and protocols.
  • Communication: Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and that projects are delivered to their satisfaction.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve problems promptly, using your expertise and judgment to find solutions that meet the needs of the project and the company.

Requirements:

  • Education: Journeyman certificate or undergraduate degree in a related field, such as construction management or engineering.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction supervision, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of construction workers. Proficient in construction management software and tools, with a strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
